Blessed New Year 2011!

12 Jan

Our first duty as a cell for 2011 fall on 31 Dec 2010 watch night service! We are the HOST! It is awesome to be able to gather together as a cell, pray and praise God for the awesome 2010.

The dress code of the night is as blue as our name. Even the deco around us is blue. We arrived when the night is still young and this is what we do…”self indulgent”. ^_~

For those who miss this watch night service…owwwww…you miss a BIG one! It was so AWESOME! Anyway, we can’t turn back time…so, just be sure to make yourself available for the next one then. ^_~

Have a Blessed New Year 2011!

May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us; establish the work of our hands for us–yes, establish the work of our hands.
Psalm 90:17 (NIV)

You are the joy of my life!

“Wanna play with me?”

“Every road in Christmas lead to home”

“I’ll walk along side you”

It is time for Christmas again…my fav. season of the year! YEAH~~

I personally believe, 2010 Christmas will be far more exciting since everything in 2010 goes the extreme way unapologetically. ^_~

As usual, I am preparing invitation card for Christmas celebration and designing card is always very personal to me. It usually reflecting what I felt, what I experience and it must contain the message I intent to share with others. So, here you see 3 cards under a big theme “Being the hope & joy of my life” to be send out to friends according to their flavor.

Our world today is getting colder, cruel, materialistic and realistic – everywhere peoples are complaining and cursing as the newspaper telling only partial truth. People stop being nice to one another due fear of being exploit. Human becoming selfish – disaster and tragedy happens in your life has nothing to do with me so long it doesn’t happened in my front yard. The disappointment is so great we couldn’t bear to put much hope to this country and the people. Everything is turning gray and cold…

Yet, in the other hand…there are people like the light and salt of the world.…they walk the land, they lent their hand, they provide food to the poor and needy, they use their own hand to lift the heavy burden, they share their heart fearlessly – like the red heart beating unapologetic in this gray gray world. They work with no interest to be richer, to get recognition or bring more comfort to self, but it is the overwhelming love of Jesus Christ that is so overflowing in them – they leave “love marks” in peoples live.

I am very privilege to be able to experience these peoples and served along side with them. So, I dedicated these series of design for those served with love…”the joy of my life” for a good closure together.

I hope you love this series of design* as well. ^_~

Disclaimer*: No, I did not draw all the ink paining above. Instead, it was “taken” from Ira’s Peripheral Visions. Do check them out for the wonderful collection of card for the wonderful season of Christmas.

Pun Choi is Purely Togetherness

Year 2010 – A Special Chinese New Year

Special in a way…

3 Days before CNY – My eldest cousin brother pass away due to heart attack. The last time we met is 4 years ago.

4 Days before CNY – The brother of my sister in Christ is diagnose with Acute Myeloid Leukemia. He’s only 22+.

5 Days before CNY – My eldest sister family of 5 (including the maid) is sick. This drag on all the way till CNY.

So, I pray more then any Chinese New Year in my life. Instead of just relaxing and enjoy my holidays with family, I am very careful with all I do, all I say and the most importantly, I treasure the time I have with family and love one. Spending time with those that you love, to keep each other company…and to be together, even though we might not do anything significant…is a real blessing.

I extend this thought back to where I live…spending time with my brother & sister in Christ as a cell. I am glad we have “Pun Choi” which is so significant and meaningfully represent the idea of togetherness.

I am glad many make it and enjoy the time together.
May God Bless all with a blessed year ahead!
